The Sea Cow - no more wonder in this world

Aside from the crowds and busy-ness, and the pleasant hanging around, I really liked this thing at Fruitstock, Regents Park. I have no idea what it is, aside from that it's food - saw some people eating it.

I could probably find out very easily with one Google search, but I refuse, because I'll probably be dissapointed. That's the thing with the generation of digital natives - there's no more "I wonder what...", because you can find out in a snap on the Internet. Does this mean we're less imaginative? Probably not.

In fact, the only fact left in my brain that I still wonder about is that my Dad, Francis Goh, an accountant, used to use the pseudo-name "John G Fontayne" sometimes. I don't know where he got this name from, but I vaguely remember he only started it when he came back from a business trip to the US. Should I get a comment from someone in the US who is called John Fontayne and remembers my Dad, I will be half-happy, but also very dissapointed.

The Sea Cow is a fantastic fish and chip shop, with branches in Clapham (on the High Street) and Dulwich.

It's great, and part of the trend seen with all of the gourmet burger places - classic downmarket food turned into an upmarket experience.

This summer in addition to the usual menu they've been doing seafood salads, and always seem to do a roaring trade.
